One KayaArm provides stability when entering/exiting your kayak. Two KayaArms lift your kayak out of the water and hold it there. Install two on your dock, about five feet apart, and your kayak is stored out of the water between trips. Turn the kayak over (unless self-draining) and secure it to the arms.
Mount the same pair on a garage, shed, or carport wall, and they carry your kayak through the winter.
Lifting your kayak out of the water: save your back and put an end to “kayak wrestling”
Most people do not enjoy hauling a kayak up onto a dock. You reach down, grab whatever handle you can reach, and heave a dripping hull up and over the dock while your kayak does its best to slide back into the water. There is a name for it: kayak wrestling. Your back is the part of you that remembers it the next morning.
The KayaArm is designed for that job. By installing two KayaArms separated by about 5 ft at the dock they may be used for kayak storage at the dock by centering the kayak between the two arms and then raising and latching the arms one at a time to a level that raises the kayak out of the water. When going out for a paddle one arm is lowered to the desired height for stable kayak entry/exit, and the other is lowered deeper into the water to provide a contact free clearance under the kayak.
A kayak lift for fishing and pedal kayaks, Hobie Mirage included
We have tested the KayaArm with heavy pedal and fishing kayaks. Kayaks up to 36 inches wide work with the standard KayaArm. That includes the Hobie Mirage Pro Angler 12, a 36 inch wide pedal fishing kayak that weighs over 130 pounds, and the 86 pound Wilderness Systems ATAK 120. Two videos deal with the Hobie Mirage: one shows the lift itself, and the other goes through the installation considerations for a kayak that heavy. A household with two kayaks needs two pairs of KayaArms for lifting and storing, one set for each kayak.
Storing your kayak at the dock: reduce dock clutter
A kayak stored on the dock takes up the dock. Stored on the KayaArms, it sits over the water where nobody walks, and the dock is yours again. Put another way, a pair of KayaArms buys you back the dock space a kayak would take.
Two KayaArms mounted about five feet apart hold your kayak clear of the water between trips. You raise one arm at a time until the kayak is clear of the water. It stays there out over the water beside your dock, ready for your next paddle, instead of cluttering your dock or being dragged up onto the shore.
Storing a canoe
Two KayaArms will also hoist and store a canoe. A canoe is wider than a kayak, so it needs arm extensions to keep it from rolling off the arms when you flip it. The canoe video shows the whole sequence, and a second video shows how to make the arm extensions.
Off-season storage on a wall
The same two KayaArms mount on a garage, shed, or carport wall, so the kayak that sits at your dock through the summer spends the winter on the wall.
A lift you do not have to plug in
The KayaArms require no power at the dock, no motor, and no winch. They are raised by hand, and every unit carries a one-year warranty.
Fits all docks, seawalls included
It works on fixed and floating docks, made of wood, metal, aluminum, concrete, and plastic, and on seawalls. Every unit ships with mounting instructions for typical docks, and part of our service includes one-on-one consultation for unique docks or installations.

I love it! Easy to use and it keeps my kayak dry and spider free! Love not having to struggle with a cover anymore. I hope to be able to buy another set next season for our other kayak.
